This special-edition game celebrates 65 years of Tripoley, along-time favorite for parties or at-home fun. Tripoley combines the strategy and skill involved in hearts, poker, and Michigan rummy. One game of each constitutes a "round" of Tripoley. The group decides the number of rounds in each game before play begins. After all the rounds have been played, the player with the most chips is the winner. Designed for two to nine players. --Alison Golder
Adult game night.Did not like the cards. Will not use. Plastic pretty lightweight for the price. Not a good value for the money. However, this is priced cheaper than other companies.
The game itself was smaller and not as thick as the old style I owned. When you put it together be careful the corners almost cracked. I gave it as a gift and they liked it but I didn't for my money.
Tripoly has obviously been around forever (thus the 75th Anniversary Game) and I think the reason it has lasted is that it has multiple ways to play (from simple to more complex), can include a little lighthearted gambling (making for fun competition) and can be enjoyed by a large age group.
As a kid, I remember playing this with my parents and everyone of every age enjoyed it. It is just the same now that I am the Mom! I have kids ranging from 11 to 20 and adults that enjoy playing it too....from Mom to Grandma...so it still holds up as a good old-fashioned family card game.
Our family loves board games and card games too and this fits in perfectly. I consider most games educational in some way, especially if they involve counting and/or strategy and this includes both. If you have ever loved playing Rummy or simple Poker and other traditional card games I think you will enjoy this extra twist!
This is an excellent game but this seller lists the product with a rotating tray and it definitely does NOT have one. I ordered this based on the sellers description wanting to upgrade our current game to a rotating tray. We just opened this after the return period to discover it does not have a rotating tray. In fact the whole plastic tray is just so so compared to the cloth version we currently own. The cards, chips, etc are fine but this was not worth buying as it was not an upgrade at all. In fact it just takes up more room. Wish I could return it.
